Our History

The story of Pierre Dufour Décolletage begins in 1952, in the heart of the industrial valley of Scionzier, the cradle of French screw machining.

Founded by Pierre Dufour, the company started its activity by manufacturing turned parts for general mechanics and hydraulics.

Thanks to the quality of its work and its constant demands, DUFOUR quickly established itself as a recognized player in the region.

Over the decades, the company has modernized:

• 1980s–1990s: gradual transition to numerically controlled (CNC) machines, allowing for better precision and repeatability.

• 1996: Obtaining ISO 9001 certification, confirming the implementation of a rigorous quality system.

• 2000s: development of grinding and honing processes, to meet the growing demands of the hydraulic sector.

• 2014: DUFOUR obtains EN9100 certification, opening the way to the aeronautics industry.

• Today: the company employs 23 people, generates a turnover of €3.95 million and reinvests every year to stay at the forefront of technology.
